Mr. Newman has extensive experience in structuring and raising all forms of private equity capital. Over his career he has raised over $40 billion for private equity funds, including the first funds for prestigious sponsor groups such as Blackstone, First Reserve Corp., and Lehman Brothers Real Estate.

Previously, Mr. Newman was President and COO of Atlantic-Pacific Capital, a leading private equity placement firm. He has also served as Global Head of Private Equity Marketing at Lehman Brothers, Head of Capital Markets at Trust Company of the West, and Head of Direct Placements at CS First Boston.
